Support of Assumption Historical Society

Established in 2003, the Assumption Historical Society works to preserve artifacts and help educate the community on our unique history.

West School

Built just west of the south portion of the old Bond Elementary. This school was in service from 1868 to 1917 when it was replaced by a brick building was built just north of it.

Grade School with new South addition

From 1961 to 1967, the elementary students were split between the older grade school and the first 'installment' of the new building. In 1968, the 2nd portion of that new building was opened and the older two-story building was torn down.

Brick Factory

First South Street

The museum is open during community events and by appointment.
